Ancient Wisdom For Today | Ecclesiastes 1

from Live Oak Church Hosted by Live Oak Church

“Everything is meaningless,” says the Teacher, “completely meaningless! What do people get for all their hard work under the sun?” (Eccl. 1:2–3) Solomon isn’t saying life has no purpose—he’s grabbing our attention. The word “meaningless” really means "vapor" -life is short, fragile, and temporary, or vanity—meaningless or empty. Life is temporary. Life is meaningless without God. Life becomes full of purpose and joy when we fear God, follow Him, and enjoy the Life He gives.
