And Just Like That… We Did a Bonus

Remember all those endless bonus episodes we keep promising to do? Well we finally bloody did one! By popular demand (kind of, not really) we have dragged ourselves into the world HBO Max to get annoyed about the first episode of the Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That. The first episode in this series is called ‘Hello, It’s Me’ and we have lots to talk about. Carrie has a podcast (or does she? Who knows?) and an Instagram, Charlotte is still a Park Avenue Princess and Miranda has grey hair (the horror!) and is doing a Masters. We also get to meet some new characters and see some old favourites (Stanford!). We’re chatting how they wrote Samantha out (eye roll to end all eye rolls), how apparently women in the their 50’s are just dinosaurs who can’t negotiate the modern world and a really strong (and sad) ending to a pretty terrible episode. So let’s be confused by the modern world, reference the pandemic far too much, smack ourselves right in the face with some over correction of past terrible diversity issues and then be sad.
