from St. Paul & St. Andrew's Sermon and Prayercast · host St. Paul & St. Andrew

Interestingly, this year's Palm Sunday lectionary text comes from the Gospel of Luke, whose telling of the Palm Sunday story includes not a single waving palm. While text may not have waving palms, Luke's Palm Sunday narrative, and the Passion narrative that follows, deftly highlight another aspect of the crowd's presence: their voice. It's a story that challenges us to consider the complexities of power and the ways it manifests, not only in words, but in silence. Come Sunday, we'll begin our worship service at 11am on the West End Avenue steps and continue with our annual donkey-led palm processional before heading into the sanctuary. The processional will be livestreamed to all of you who join us each week from afar, as well as on a monitor in the back of the sanctuary.See you there!Pastor Andrea
