A once-prominent Alaskan leader vanished under mysterious circumstances in March 2021, just hours after resigning amid scandal. Piloting his personal helicopter toward Kodiak Island, he never arrived, and tracking data showed the aircraft suddenly stopping over the icy waters of the Gulf of Alaska. Despite extensive Coast Guard searches, only wreckage was found; his body was never recovered. The timing of the disappearance, coming directly after his abrupt fall from power, fueled speculation of whether it was a tragic accident or something more deliberate. Years later, the case remains unsolved, leaving behind haunting questions and a mystery that continues to shadow the state.
