Angel Genao’s Hot Start Shaking Up the Lineup | Cleveland Guardians News

Angel Genao’s meteoric rise in his first 12 MLB games is rewriting the script—hitting .341 with a .876 OPS, a homer, and three RBIs while mastering multiple infield spots. Manager Stephen Vogt admits he’s forcing Genao into the everyday lineup, calling it a “good problem” as the young phenom outperforms veteran options. His Triple-A dominance (.381) and franchise-record debut (4 hits) set the stage, while his elite on-base skills and minimal strikeouts (3 in 41 at-bats) are turning heads. With slick defensive plays and adaptability, Genao’s not just filling a role—he’s reshaping the lineup, proving the players make the roster.
