Angela walks 100 miles to bring us Beethoven

from Petersfield's Shine Radio · host Petersfield's Shine Radio

Local Musician Angela Zanders is raising money for next year's festival marking the 200th anniversary of Beethoven's death, by walking 100 miles; so far £1700 raised. Between January  and November next year, in St Peter's Church, there will be 10 recitals, concerts and talks about Beethoven; author and journalist, John Suchet will be speaking, and the final concert in November is the South Downs Camerata Orchestra conducted by Jonathan Willcocks. Speaking to Mike Waddington, Angela talks about the festival and what it celebrates. There will be activities for schools too and one of the recitals is part of the Petersfield Musical Festival in March. Angela is also appealing for volunteers to lend a hand.
