Angell Conwell Interview – Black Hollywood Live’s Next

In this episode, Black Hollywood Live hosts Jessica King, Jason Carter, Nick Perdue interview special guest Angell Conwell who joined the cast of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS in December, 2010. She plays the role of attorney Leslie Michaelson, sister of Tyler Michaelson (Redaric Williams). They discuss her upbringing in Orangeburg, South Carolina and moving to Columbia, South Carolina at the age of two. Later they discuss how Conwell and her mother packed their bags and headed to Los Angeles for pilot season. Angell goes into her roles on television series including “NYPD Blue,” “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” “Moesha,” and “3rd Rock from the Sun.” Later, she tells how at 17, John Singleton cast Conwell in her first silver screen role in "Baby Boy."
