Angelo State University's Garrett Baumann earns baseball honors

Angelo State University Rams baseball senior pitcher Garrett Baumann of Poth was recently awarded All- Region Second Team by the 2026 NCAA Division II All-South Central Region honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA). Baumann was also named to the 2026 ABCA/ Rawlings All-South Central Region second team by the American Baseball Coaches Association. Baumann emerged as one of the Rams’ top relievers. In 25 appearances, he compiled a 10-5 record with a 3.84 ERA and 72 strikeouts in 70.1 innings while holding opposing hitters to a .252 batting average.
