Angels Blew Lead Against Guardians | Cleveland Guardians News

The Angels stormed out of the gate with a five-run first two innings, even scoring with two strikes against a tough pitcher—looking like they had this one locked up. But the Guardians wouldn’t go quietly. The Angels’ pitching faltered, the offense sputtered, and frustration mounted. Manager Suzuki noted the Guardians’ relentless at-bats, while Walbert Ureña’s walk-heavy outing hurt badly. The Guardians tied it in the fifth, the Angels retaken the lead with a sixth-inning homer, but José Ramirez kept answering with clutch hits—including a game-tying double in the eighth and the go-ahead double in the tenth, capped by a stunning catch that robbed Mike Trout. A back-and-forth thriller ended with the Guardians stealing the win, leaving the Angels heartbroken despite their early dominance.
