Angels, Demons and Spiritual Discernment

Scripture teaches that spiritual warfare is real, but Christians often respond in one of two dangerous ways. Some deny the unseen battle while others blame every hardship on demonic activity. Investigative journalist Billy Hallowell joins Peter Demos to offer a more discerning, biblical approach. Billy discusses Investigating the Supernatural: Angels & Demons, a documentary examining modern reports of demonic oppression, angelic intervention and unexplained events. He explains how he evaluates extraordinary accounts and why Hollywood should not shape the church's theology of evil. The conversation also considers mental health, suicidal thoughts and spiritual affliction. Billy does not treat every medical condition as demonic. Instead, he emphasizes the need for careful discernment, responsible professional care and a worldview grounded in Scripture. Peter concludes by connecting Philippians 4 with Ephesians 6. Christians are called to stand, pray with gratitude and put on the full armor of God. The answer to spiritual warfare is not fear. It is faithful preparation in Christ. 📘 Get my latest book "Bold Not Belligerent" on Amazon: 👉 https://a.co/d/eGTPSYS 🔗 Follow Peter Demos: 🌐 Website: https://www.peterdemos.org/📱 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/peterdemosofficial 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/peterdemosofficial 𝕏 Twitter/X: https://x.com/peter_demos 🔗 Connect with Billy Hallowell: 🌐 Website: https://billyhallowell.com/📘 Author and speaker information: https://billyhallowell.com/about-billy 🎬 Documentary: https://cbn.com/supernatural𝕏 Twitter/X: https://x.com/BillyHallowell📰 Substack: No known Substack at time of publishing In this conversation: Angels and demons in Scripture Hollywood's portrayal of spiritual evil Avoiding fear and unhealthy fascination Mental health and spiritual discernment Investigating alleged demonic activity Why angels direct glory toward God Hearing God while testing everything against Scripture Standing firm through prayer and gratitude Are you spiritually prepared to stand firm, or have you allowed fear, fascination or neglect to shape your understanding of the unseen battle?
