Anger Manifests a Lack of Trust in God

This morning we continue with our mini series of lessons identifying the "Spiritual Symptoms" of a lack of Trust in the LORD. Last week we identified "Worry" or "Anxiety" as revealing a possible lack of trust in God and His provision. This week we will examine how "Anger" often times will reveal a lack of trust in God. As you may already know this is not always the case as we see in Jesus. There were at least two times when the bible states He became angry at injustice towards His Father and the lack of love and concern expressed by the "Law minded" when He healed a lame man on the sabbath. Most often, anger is expressed from a selfish or self-centered view of others and life circumstances. During our sermon we will define the nature of Anger and then we will look at three common sources of anger that draw people into sin as they lash out at the offender or life situation. More importantly we will identify how we need and can put our trust in the LORD during these trying times so that we may glorify Him and manifest His righteousness to those around us and those who may have caused the feelings of anger.
