Angus Vinden - respect for the past with an eye for the future

from The Cellar Door Podcast · host Tom Massey

Send us Fan MailThere is something of a revolution taking place in the Hunter Valley. A crop of young wine makers are coming through and blending exciting wines with an emphasis on place. Young gun wine maker Angus Vinden is spearheading this charge. He considers himself a custodian of the riches of the Hunter and is charged with reflecting those treasures in his wines. Angus, who took part in his first vintage aged 7, alongside his father, believes in blending wines with a respect for tradition while keeping an eye on the future. His wines are a fusion of tradition and innovation, and it is his goal to present wines that reflect the Hunter’s terroir. Angus Vinden joins me in the Cellar Door to share not only his story, but to share the story of a wine region with a rich and wonderful history, where there is plenty of excitement to be found. A massive thanks to Angus for joining me.Support the show
