It’s the largest land-based commercial wildlife slaughter in the world, ten times larger and far bloodier than the notorious seal slaughter in Canada. Campaign objective Secure corporate pledges from Nike and other athletic shoe companies to stop sourcing kangaroo parts in their supply chain, dealing a blow that Australia’s kangaroo industry is unlikely to survive. Our effort will include working with allies in Congress to introduce bipartisan legislation in Congress to prohibit buying or selling of kangaroo parts in the United States. Animal Wellness Action has a mission of helping animals by promoting legal standards forbidding cruelty. AWA champion causes that alleviate the suffering of companion animals, farm animals, and wildlife.
