Anna Davies: Nature’s Ozempic

Dave and Matt welcome Anna Davies to the pod. She is a writer and editor who started her career in women’s magazines, working at Cosmo and writing for Glamour, Elle, Women’s Health, SELF, and others. She was also a successful young adult ghostwriter, penning 13 YA novels in her twenties, including five Gossip Girl books. When she was 31, she became unexpectedly pregnant during what was supposed to be a year long backpacking trip around the world. She came home, created her own content marketing business, and found a specialization in the personal finance and health insurance space, proving that pivoting in your career is always possible. Today, her daughter, Lucy, is eight, Anna is working (finally) on the half-finished novel idea she had begun when she was on that backpacking trip.    She can also be found on Instagram at @babybackpacker Note: Matt was having microphone issues - but we're working on it; we promise. Dave (@dshalansky) and Matt (@realmattbrand) are ALSO on Instagram. Thanks to Nice Guy Eddie (Dave, Robbie, and Chris) for the use of "That's Us" and to Nicholas Calhoun for the DadPod logo.
