The dead of night as people sleep. That's when the spirits creep as the belt holes three dark things take power We like to call it the supernatural hour We wanted welcome to another exciting episode of the supernatural hour. I'm Tim It's gonna be fun because we're talking about something that we've talked about before but not as in-depth as what we're gonna get into today But first before we get into our topic do we have any business we need to talk about we do I do believe that everyone should hear this before we go, but we are going to have a free Investigation at rock Canyon. It's gonna be a lot of fun It's not an area we've been to before so it'll be kind of a learning experience for everybody, but it's free So you're not really out anything if it sucks, but I don't think it will the rock Canyon hiking trail if you look on the internet I found it on seven eight nine different websites, you know talking about it, so it's famously haunted It's actually quite a large area But where the haunts are after Chad and I went up and kind of walk through it The place is where you're gonna find stuff is in a relatively small area, so there's a little bit of hiking involved But it's it's mostly flat maybe some very slight inclines I think anybody could do it and be just fine or some good shoes bring a flashlight.

It is a public park It closes at 10. I did ask the city. I said can we you know if we happen to be there to 11? Is that gonna be a problem?

She said probably not worst case scenario Please come and say hey go home, but I think it'll be it'll be fun So if you have any questions just go to advanced paranormal.com We've got instructions and and all the what-for's we might have use on our website, but I'm looking forward to it It's in Provo. It's just on North Temple Drive. Just go to the canyon Yeah, just if you go on the road That's just to the south of the original old Provo temple and just to the north of it to the north of it Sorry, don't listen to me the north of it. You just get on that road.

Just keep going you can miss us You'll see a bit Canyon just drive to you. You can miss it right, but we've got a little more specific Directions on the website bring a flashlight. Yes, bring a flashlight good shoes jacket just in case you never know Last week it was 40 degrees in the lagoon, so I like to mow out first Yeah, better to have a jacket and not need it than vice versa Bring some water I'm looking forward to it. It'll be one fun.

Yes. It's going on there. It's nice to be outside So there's some history there's a little amphitheater there just kind of to the south of the parking lot You can't miss it. We'll have a big sign there and we'll kind of be watching for you But we'll kind of go over the history and when I say history just what we know of that's haunted just things that I've gleaned off the internet So what time?

We'll start meeting up at seven. We'll probably start having like a little introduction kind of telling people a little bit about the canyon While people kind of trickling start about seven thirtyish right so So come be prepared and be prepared a lot of fun Sweet we also have merchandise on our website Vansmarinewal.com go to the merchandise tab and you can buy a lot of our cool swag show some love and support Maybe if you buy someone that gets here before the investigation you can work in the investigation I'll give you a twizzler or a red vine. Twizzler's a better. They're both crap But I think that's okay, do we have any recent investigations?

There's a hotel thing. Oh, you know what my aunt called and said her hotel is haunted So we actually went down there and that was interesting So my cousin said that Well several of my cousins work down there and they hear footsteps above the front desk when no one's up there And the room right above the front desk is like a storage room kind of area They hear audible voices in fact one of my cousins said it was in the off season and there was a very slow night They only had you know one guest checking in that night and the guests came in checked in turned around was heading to go out To their car to get their things and they hurt and it was a male and my cousin heard a female voice say hello And not only did she hear it but the guests that was the male guest that was walking out to his car turned around and said did she say something? And she's like no They have just felt in the pool area. It's an indoor pool They felt just kind of honey is just not not like a like a dreadful unease or bad any is just kind of that feeling of you know You're not alone, but you don't see anybody.

What else did they say was happening? Just sounds oh phone calls from an occupied room. Oh, right? They get phone calls from rooms that nobody was checked into So we did an investigation there was a portal at hot tub which we closed There was a female spirit She's the one that's kind of in the lobby area and in the pool area and her name was Hannah And she's just kind of hanging out just kind of doing her thing kind of has the hots for one of my cousins But he's gay.

He doesn't swing her way. So she's a lot luck there And she's dead and she's dead so you know, there's just a lot of a lot of things there that's not gonna go well for that relationship So We figured there was there was a portal upstairs But it wasn't a bad portal and there was no need to close it. So we didn't but there was a cantankerous type 2 up there And so Hannah told us there was about 75 to 100 spirits in the hotel that were just afraid to go through the portal that wanted to and were afraid to and so we kind of talked him into Letting them go through the portal. So But nothing there that was necessarily bad.

Hannah's gonna stay. She doesn't feel the need to leave so And the interesting thing is one of my cousins the one that heard the hello where there wasn't anybody else in the lobby but her and the guest She was mostly just you know, she was terrified because she just didn't understand and so she didn't even come the first night that we investigated And we did a little the second night specifically specifically for her And I think just going through the process and seeing how everything worked and understanding why Hannah was there and And she wasn't very open with why she was there, but it really helped my cousin understand that things weren't as scary as she had made them out to be so There's just kind of interesting to see her, you know, have this fear and kind of mellow out and you know, understanding that things aren't as scary So interesting But other than that residential right now still kind of slow people are still a little concerned about bringing people into their homes, which is understandable So you did have a follow-up or potential I've been walking Yeah, and that one um plus her little heart She made some things bigger in her mind than than I really were we debunked a lot of stuff on that one So most of it was most of that was debunking but we are doing um, residential. Yes. If you want a residential We will take whatever precautions make you comfortable masks sanitizing.

Um, the follow-up residential we did was You know, she wasn't elderly lady she asked us to wear masks when we went in So we did and we got cool new masks We did our recorded masks with our logos on them. So so we look at the show So I just want to say something real quick about rid of the dentrals. Um, I recently went on one That was called uh, why was it working actually? Apparently this this homeowner was having a lot of issues and the team that was helping them Um could not fix the issues They'd actually been in a couple days before trying to resolve the issues They thought everything was good, but the right next day or a couple days later things got worse according to the homeowner and to them Um So they actually called me and asked me if I could come up out and I did Um, I didn't get there till almost midnight because I get off work at 11 o'clock and it takes me some time to actually drive to places Um, but this is how freaked out this guy was that he didn't care what time we showed up Uh, but we did um, I went and picked up uh, peaches and took her with me, um, because I knew this was I could feel the energy Just from the phone call, uh being on the phone with this person.

Um, I can feel the energy of this spirit and I could tell I told her right off the bat that there was there's only two spirits in the home Only ever was two spirits in the home. Um And That She kept trying to tell me that they got rid of some of the across them over and no matter what I tried to tell this person She would not listen to me. Um, she actually started arguing with brandy and At the homeowner during the investigation. Um, some of the brandy was telling her Um Overall like my my thing is is here is if you're out doing residential if you're helping people, please Please know what you're doing before you go into somebody's home.

Um, We've had our team has had a combined, um, just peaches alone has been doing this since she was five So she's been doing this for 30 years. Um, I know Deanna's been doing this for about 20 years. Um, I've been doing this about seven years myself Um, I'm still relatively new at seven years experience. I'm still learning things.

Um, but if you're not Please, please don't go to people's homes because you're just making the problem worse. Um, we do care about our clients and our homeowners And we want to make sure that the problem is taken care of and we only send people to houses that we feel can actually handle the problem If it's kind of benign and it's not really a negative entity of just human spirits We'll bring some of our new investigators and show them how to investigate and teach them the proper way of doing things Now we were able to handle this. It was actually Native American shamanistic. Uh, I believe it was an inhuman entity And part of the problem we ran into is while we were trying to get things set up and help this homeowner The other team just kept one wanting to chat about things that weren't necessarily relevant to the case that we were working on It got to the point where I had to stop them and be like, okay I love the fact that we want to talk but I can fill the anxiousness that the spirit is getting and we need to kind of put things to stop We need to take care of this right now and then we can chat afterwards.

Um Brandy and I were able to mostly Brandy. Um, we were able to Remove the spirit from home and then using uh different things that she's learned throughout the years be it uh, wickin or vodu Um, we were able to kind of lock down the um yard or the poppy as well to kind of keep this entity from returning We're also able to figure out that this this entity was actually kind of like uh Obviously like a shapeshifter. It can take on other forms and kind of project itself as well. Um, I want to be a shapeshifter one day.

Yeah I think I want to be a swan. I want to be multiple man from x-men I just want to be in multiple places. So I can be home playing with the work and recording the podcast Kind of like the wonder twins if you remember that old or 20 night wonder twins activate safe. Uh, but a Mop bucket.

Okay. I digress. I know what you're talking about. I've just seen spoof cartoons about it Um, but yeah, we were able to find that there was actually a portal nearby in one of the neighbor's yards that was um Throwing its energy more or less kind of like the shape there was and and making it seem like there was other portals when there actually wasn't portals I've never come across that before and I found that kind of fascinating Um to know that that thing that type of thing actually exists that not only can spirits and entities throw their energy and Try to confuse us.

Um apparently portals can do the same thing which I thought was really interesting That's new. I've been doing this seven years. I'm still learning things You know, I think there's so much we don't understand and that's one of those things that's fun about doing this is just finding new things and But yeah, I do appreciate that the the did we talked to us and we were actually able to help the homeowner My the way we like to handle things so we go in kind of figure out what the problem is take care of the problem And then we tell the homeowner what they can do to kind of keep things peaceful and safe in their house after we've gone We usually tell them that there might be some residual energy You might still kind of think you're experiencing things or feel stuff for the first like week or so But we tell people how to Bring that positive energy to the home bring listen to like uplifting music It doesn't necessarily necessarily have to be like church hymns or anything like that Just something with a positive upbeat upbeat tone to it I recommend it. I thought it was funny when this guy I asked him if he liked cinnamon Just out of the blue and he started going crazy telling me about his whole life story of how he loves cinnamon as a kid He put cinnamon on everything showed me a cinnamon life like he was so super enthusiastic about cinnamon Um, it was actually kind of exciting.

I was just like, okay I'm like buy a cinnamon set to candle when you're doing we did some energy work on this gentleman as well and um We help it would help clear him of some of his anxiety and his depression and some of the things we'll bring him down Which could have been like a reason why this spirit was attracted to the home to begin with Right because he could build a negative energy So we cleared the house got the spirit out I began doing the energy cleansing on him and then started giving him advice and just to see how lit up and excited he was about cinnamon I'm like sweet. I'm like, it's kind of a line with hazel head When yeah, exactly like I will recommend this to anybody like especially right now where things are still kind of on lockdown You're still stuck in your house. You're still dealing with depression anxiety or whatever No, I'm just a state of the world right now that's ugly so deal with the riots and the protesting and all that going on Um, there's just so much negative energy in the air right now And I recommend this to a couple people lately um find your favorite saint like this guy he said he loved it um Find a candle scented like that or find some incense or just something that reminds you of that happy thing and Like the candle Take a couple deep breaths maybe do like a little five minute meditation chest and just do something to kind of help bring that positive energy back Into your life's back into your home and try to help you forget about I mean, obviously you're not going to forget about all the stuff that's going on but try to get a more positive outlook on life I mean, there's a saying that I saw very recently that said, um, you know scientifically light and dark cannot exist in the same space So the more you focus on the light the more light you bring in the less dark is going to be in it And some of that is literal and some of that is figurative But the more you focus on the light the more light there's going to be the more you focus on the darkness the more darkness there's going to be So, you know, just kind of depends on what you want in your life choose it and run with it Well, unlike the same girls or I'm gonna have kind of paraphrase because one of the likes thing but um Like you said dark can't exist where there is light just use the light to drive out the dark Um, you know the light's gonna always overtake the dark and when it comes to Trying to just keep your house positive. No, I mean in this situation there was a spirit that I don't think he could have done it on his own because it already been working out So outside influences, uh, I us and the other team were necessary but If you try to like keep that in your life the chances of you like bringing something something like that into your life Um, not as good in my opinion, but I sorry I kind of went off and went around there It's just been bugging me and just like if you don't know you're doing don't go to people's homes You're just gonna make the problem worse And um, I might get some hate texts or hate emails about that from the people but I don't really care I think they need to know that what they're doing is hurting and not helping Um, and if you're not sure what's going on I mean they asked they specifically asked for a demonologist and um, I literally don't know one Your brother is the closest one castle is the closest person I know to being a demonologist I mean, I took a study there for years I took a course on it and did really well in the course but I would not consider myself a demonologist And I don't think he would consider himself a demonologist either I think he would just consider himself someone that's educated I might say I mean if someone said I would even know just I'd say what I'd just said I took a course and I know some stuff But no, I'm not but they they were telling me how terrible things were in this house and I could just tell him right over the phone Um, I've dealt with worse and we have yes, we've got with somebody in this place Larry at Cleo's house.

Um, he's been on the show. He's told his story And if I remember correctly there was a tv series that actually contacted you brother Contacted a castle and wanted to do an episode on it. I don't know if they're actually going to or not I think I heard about that. I don't know how that went down But yeah, Cleo, um, he dealt with his problem for 20 plus years And then that was by far one of the worst residential we've ever been on The close second would be Laura Eshie and she was also on her show and talked about her experience with the paranormal Well, and then there's whatever that psychotherm was out in toilet too I didn't go on the other one No, the um, the man that had a load of firearms, the case that castled myself in mark was so tell you to this day It's probably the scariest investigation we've ever been on and I've seen some pretty scary stuff.

Yep. Um, so yeah, sorry about the little rant there I just please please please don't just be a professor of university of google and think you know what you're doing and going into people's homes Um, and if I get hate Mel, I don't really care because my main concern here is helping people and making sure that they get that they need and not making problems worse in their homes I agree. So uh speaking of like Not knowing what you're doing and inviting stuff into your home. I think that's a perfect segue into our topic this week Absolutely, which is the Annabelle doll you know, and this this story to me is just fascinating Is this kind of thing that got me interested in the paranormal just because it's because it's kind of spooky So if you're if you're unfamiliar with the actuals right if you've seen the movie the movie obviously as Hollywood eyes It's not a creepy looking doll Annabelle if you don't know is actually just a raggedy and all just a floppy 1970s red yarn cute little dress smiley raggedy and all about two and a half to three feet tall standing up It's the bigger one.

It's not a little right. It's the bigger one and it's about four pounds Right and probably 80 percent of girls that grew up in the 1970s. Um, probably had one of these I did not You know what I found interesting. I wasn't cool enough to have a raggedy and all Depending on a raggedy and raggedy and raggedy and under our stir case at my home for years There used to be a cartoon I believe on raggedy and I used to watch that.

I remember like in the 80s Um, it was not something I remember too much of other than there was a cartoon I used to watch Yeah, I remember the cartoon. I don't know that I watched it. We were more skippity people. You know, I find interesting though In the those dark kids.

I think we're still kind of skippity people. Yeah, I agree We'll go away with it if more for them dark kids Hold on. I know there's a lot of old people with money wearing masks running around in the scippity universe apparently Yes, there are. So anyway, this um, it was a nurse and she received a raggedy and all from her mother for Christmas Isn't nice issues about 20.

So here's where I find a bunch of inconsistencies with the story. Um, first off From what I read it was for her birthday. Um, she was 25 or she was 28. Um, it was 1968 1970 But see for me you get a couple years wrong you get a couple I mean, that's been a long time ago You know, and if you ask me when I got certain birthday presents, you know, certain present is it for my birthday?

Is it for Christmas? I mean, it's it's I mean, it's it's I don't think the the time frame or the age and all that is It's too important to the story. Um, what I did find it's what I really thought was Confused me the names were different On one documentary I watched and in the demonologist itself as opposed to all the websites I was looking at I never looked at the name. I was just more concerned about facts.

I don't even know what her name is So on everything online, uh, it was Donna was the main girl the girl that received the doll Uh in the demonologist, which is a biography written on Enloryn Warren in some of their cases. Um, her name was Didra Now and here's my question is did they change the name to protect the innocent? You know, is it just did they just make up a name? Um, that could be a factor So but I look at it as okay.

It was a woman in her 20s who received adult from her mother as a gift in the late 60s early 70s So there we go. Her name was according to the demonologist. Her name was Didra Bernard Um, her roommate was lard Clifton and her fiance lars fiance was calorandal Uh, and everything else I read the roommate was angie and the fiance was allude. Um, again, I'm gonna go I don't think the names are actually important.

Right. Um, because the the things that remain consistent throughout all the research is that they were nurses And the guy was the fiance. Um, some stories say he lived there with them. Some say he lived at home, but he was there quite a bit Right.

So the consistency that I see is there was, you know, a woman her roommate. They were both nurses and one of them had a fiance So, so again, I don't think the specifics are that important, but I'm just mentioning them to draw out the show I know I'm, I'm going to apologize because I mean I took like six or seven pages of notes I'm teaching myself with the help of some friends Arabic and to make little dots in the Arabic language all point pens And I don't work so I I have to use a different kind of a pen and I can't read my own notes. So Um, just forgive me now when I stammer and stutter a little bit because this looks like chicken scratch So your notes were from an interview That was Ed and Lorraine actually talking right we watched uh, we watched just uh, like a documentary and it was actually Ed and Lorraine speaking from their actual experiences. So this is straight from the horse's mouth as it were You know, it's not someone said that Ed said or someone said that Lorraine said it was actually them talking to an interviewer So that's where I'm getting my information.

Okay, let's go from there. So, um, she The main lady whose name I don't even know Donner deeja She received this doll as a gift from her mother and she loved it. You know, she's without she's a nurse She's moved into an apartment. She's in her twenties, but she sleeps with this doll.

Um, you know, I'm being a girl Sometimes she just needs something to come up with so um, she would take this doll to bed with her and um, You know, she kind of had a fun with it. She on the take the doll to breakfast and so they would take the doll down to breakfast Them and the doll would sit there and you know kind of as a joke. Um, and they didn't really think anything I mean they would talk to the doll like it was a child. Um, well one day they're sitting there at the table and you know, they brought the doll down several times for breakfast Well, this one day, um, the doll's arms move and the doll puts her arms on the table And needless to say it kind of freaked everybody out just a little bit.

Um, but they weren't too scared I mean the first was like, oh, well, that's kind of cool I mean, you know, there's that underlying doll shouldn't do that, but it was kind of like, hmm, doll should do that That looks kind of cool and um, so they kind of figured out a spirit in there And they decided to bring in a medium and do a science. I was doing a lot more than that before the meeting was brought in Um within the first month of having the doll that didn't levitated arms. Um, they would find it She'd leave it on her bed when she'd go to work. She'd come home She'd purposely like position the doll in certain ways and she'd come home and it would be the arms would be crossed or the legs would be crossed or It'd be sitting upright in bed.

It's something down where she put it. Um, and even started moving rooms It started going um, she'd leave it in her room. It would end up in the living room or she would It would end up in her roommate's room or just random places in the house where she didn't have it And one day they came home and it was standing up and if you know the kind of doll we're talking about It can't just randomly be standing. It physically cannot just stand there.

Yeah, I was standing up There was another time when they came home. They found it kneeling on the couch like it was praying And they tried to recreate it and they couldn't because like you said it's right in the end all It's rough. There's no way for it to physically stand up on something has to go I mean if you tried to stand it up on it's gonna fall over. I mean the best it's gonna do is maybe end up in a V You know on its head if you proper duck, you know, with its legs and it's head on the ground making kind of the TP sort of it.

So all this going on it kind of piqued their curiosity. So they started doing things around the house like um, I They apparently put um like scotch tape on the doors to see if the tape was broken They started putting things in certain positions like the rugs in certain positions to see if Someone was having a key or someone was coming in and moving the doll And the thing was just none of that stuff ever changed the doll would move rooms or move positions But everything would stay exactly how they left out. Yeah, none of their little traps, you know, booby traps would be So after all this that piqued their curiosity and they contacted the medium So the medium came and they did a seance and the medium said you know what There is a spirit of the stallant it's the spirit of the six year old and girl who was killed just outside your house And they could search and there was a little girl that was killed outside their house and the little girl's name was Annabelle Which is why to my understanding that all was named Annabelle. Annabel Higgins and um, but what um what ed said was You know, this is his belief in his my belief too that um a little child is not going to be In this doll infesting at all, um, and um, you know He was very adamant that it was a demon posing as a child And the reason it poses as a child is to get sympathy and we'll talk in a minute about the four stages of possession Which this one didn't get to that fourth stage, but um, it falls right in line with that whole Um, I think it was in the first or second phase.

Yeah, I don't think it got past that second phase. Um, but the What we learned through our experiences and just through even had the rain worn studies and whatnot Um spirits human spirits cannot possess anything at all like it's not possible for a human spirit to possess a person place object They can haunt them, but they can't physically possess something. It's just not possible. No, they can't so um Just the fact that they I mean they took this They took this doll for rides.

They bought it things. They talked to it I mean they treated it like a child. They treated it like a child and they gave it a lot of attention Which gives the power Which I mean it's understandable when you have someone that you think is respectable and is telling you accurate information that it's a little girl They're nurses. They help people that's what they do.

They even mentioned that in their interview with that That's they they help people and so they thought this little girl wasn't happening this doll So that's why they treated it like a little girl living in a It's kind of like their pet in a way. They're gonna get this little girl attention So they started getting you know knocking sounds um unexplained lights Because you know once once a demonic spirit, you know gets to that you know gets your attention Then it starts getting a little ugly and so you know their bed would shake um they'd have cold spots. They'd hear whispering Um anyway, the things started ramping up and these nurses went from you know having this fun little little you know pet as it were You know, they're a little child. They will play thing.

They started to get scared And so what they did was you know, they would kind of work different shifts But they got scared and they would think geared their work shifts so that they would work the same shift because no one wanted to be alone At this doll and they wanted to be able to come home together and be together and so um This is when they actually came home and it all started instead of being in different poses This is when they came in and the doll would be standing and the doll would be you know doing unnatural things And their fair started to ramp up a little bit they went from oh, this is a cute fun little thing to oh crap What's happening? Well, they also found notes. Yep written in pencil and parchment It's neither one of those things. We're in the house.

They tore the house part to find out where it came from Who writes on parchment anymore? Right and I mean especially then like in the 70s. I don't know that it was readily available I mean, there's a lot of people that I don't think it's available now to me. I was really like I'm sure if you wanted to find it you could because of the internet but it wasn't around back then Yeah, people not just randomly write on parchment anymore But they would it would be notes like help us or help cow slash luke as I don't know what his name really was But um they were just like confused because nothing was wrong with him at the time Right.

So the fiance that's a good slogan to this name so far So the fiance of the one girl you know started recognizing it for what it was and he said you gotta burn it You know that's he one and I'm here for you of course But one night um he fell asleep and the doll you know was pretty close by well He'd walk in a from a dream a bad dream that he had about Annabelle um And the bad dream that he had um was that Annabelle was choking him and he woke up with marks on his neck The way it was described um and the demonologist he actually Witnessed it slowly like climbing up his body Until it got up to his neck and put one hand on each side of his neck and it felt like an electric charge Shooting through his neck like it was choking him and he couldn't breathe He said he he tried to fight it off he tried to throw it to the off of him across the room and he couldn't he couldn't get it off um They no it's just in the dream or did this actually happen? But he is convinced it actually happened. He doesn't believe that that was an actual dream And depending on where you're reading it either happened at his house or when he was over there I don't know but but to him it did happen and um like he said there was the marks on his neck Right so at some point he was able to get some control and he was able to get the doll and he threw it And um, you know, he's scared that would be terrifying, you know, whether it's a dream or whether it really happened It would be scary, but there were actually marks on his neck I have no doubt in my mind that it actually happened, you know based on all you know a bunch of different Not only this but just different people with different experiences I have no doubt that it tried to strangle him So but at one point he was able to overpower it he threw it and he said you were just a rag doll You can't hurt anyone And just moments after he said that seven slashes appeared on him to come from nowhere And blood came through the through his shirt from these slashes and the nurses witnessed this This wasn't just him saying this is what happened So he was at their apartment when this happened Um, but the nurses saw the blood and it the blood soaked through his shirt It wasn't just scratches. I mean I've been scratched before everyone our team has been scratched at one point or another But these were slashes that actually bled through.

Yeah, so Another version of that Him and his fiancee so Andy we'll just do Andy and leave because that's what every website says They were home by themselves Don was not working and they heard a knocking noise coming from I believe Andy's room So he went in to check it out and Annabelle sitting in the corner And he instantly felt a dark presence standing behind him So we turned around and no one was there and then that's when he got the slashes. So it was that a slashes I believe it was three vertical and four horizontal across his chest and they say that Um, they held up pretty quick within two days. They were gone So as I'm looking at my they look like animal clots like some of them like an animal clot across the chest So I'm looking at my notes and about this time and I don't know if it was necessarily this very same day But just in the chain of events, you know, it goes from cute little things happening in the notes and you know arms raising You know one thing I think we forgot to mention um at one point before all of the crazy stuff started happening with the slashes and all that Um, they did find the animal at all with three drops of blood on her chest and then some blood on the hand That would not be fine. But as I'm looking at my notes, it says huge something rolled across the room.

I don't know I do What it is but something that was big rolled across the room and pictures started smashing off the walls for no reason And they started getting banging sounds which is kind of classic mnemonic infestation stuff Um, and at this point everyone was terrified, you know, you get to the point where it's like, okay Wow scary crap is happening and that's when they finally made the phone call Um, they called clergy the clergy actually called the warrens and I think i'm gonna hire up first They called their priest he called someone higher up they called the warrens and they're like all right Right because they actually performed an exorcism and you can't perform an exorcism unless you have permission from the catholic church Um, you can't just go in and say we're gonna perform an exorcism and do it you have to have permission and add warren is one of I think he's the only catholic person. I don't even think it's catholic I'm sorry. He's the only non-catholic person that the church authorized by the catholic church to perform exorcisms Yeah, they're there only at the time. I believe he was the only one like he said Um, they even recognize him as a demonologist.

He was the only one that they did that with right? So yeah, so yeah, I mean you don't just call up the exorcism story and say hey, can you come over? I mean you gotta go through a whole process So I mean we're making this sound like it was just the next day but it's quite the process to get to get that to happen So you know in order for the catholic church to say yeah go ahead and perform an exorcism You've got to have some pretty solid proof some pretty solid evidence. I guess that's kind of the same thing But you can't just say I think I need an exorcism in the catholic church is like, you know, all right I mean you got to have some legit crap go on see when the warrens were re-active It was something that happened a lot in their cases They'd be called in to check it out and give their honest opinion and report back to the church What they thought before the church would look into the matter even further and make that decision So it's not something that they do want to win right?

Um, I mean and I've heard of cases where you know, I'm looking at it thinking yeah, you need an exorcism And they've really had to hard press the catholic church to get it done And it's taken a long time, you know for that to follow through but they were able to after the exorcism They were able to determine that the entity was no longer Oppressing the the nurses and the fiancee Which is I believe the second stage of a festation or a possession And we'll talk about that in just a second But they determined that they were free from the negative entity and that it wasn't with them or in the home anymore They had actually told the ones that they plan on moving and that's what I was like, I gotta bring it down to you like This is an inhuman spirit. It's not a little girl. Never was It's moving is not gonna help. It's just gonna follow you Right, but it didn't get rid of the spirit out of the doll the spirit is still in the doll The point of the exorcism if I'm understanding this correctly is to get the entity unlatched to these three people Yes, and that's exactly what ended and home and they were able to do that And the girl no longer wanted the doll wanted nothing to do it and Lorraine as well.

Yeah, I can't imagine that I don't know why I was just keeping it in the corner today But as a safety precaution the warrants to go And the funny thing is it's on the way home They actually started feeling that negative foreboding feeling and the car kept like stalling out on them And they got to the point where and actually had to stop the car They considered throwing it out until the woods and just leaving it but then they kind of were like well We don't know what's gonna make it's way back to their house or who's gonna find itself Who's house is it gonna get back? So they ended up using holy water Signing it with the cross and the activity stopped and they were gonna make home safely But there was a lot of activity that happened at their house That actually think that led them to putting it in the glass cases and now Right. Well, the interesting thing is that kind of skipped over this But you know Ed said that he had actual film other than happening he had videos which he can kind of the same thing He's got recordings, credible eyewitness testimony I mean, you know, but the interesting thing is after he took this doll to his museum Other things happened there was a priest you know because the Warrens you know deal with a lot of priests Did you hear about the black cat? No So before all of that happened well the black cat happened before the priest thing happened before they put it in the case But um there would be a black cat that would just appear on the door right next to the doll in his office And walk around the room like it was checking out the books and just kind of studying his room Then it would walk back over the doll and just disappear Yeah, so this priest um, you know the Warrens have been dealing with him and he got a new car And he's like, hey, I've got this new car.

I'm so proud of it coming to drive with me I mean, it was not even anything paranormal, you know, they're friends or buddies they hang out And so and it was a brand new car and so um They went for it. They went for a ride. I mean, you know, and everything was great You know, they had a hey your car saw some things for taking their ride Well, he brings them back to the house and he says hey, I hear you got this doll You know, I'm like for all the stories and can I see it? And I'm like, yeah, sure so they go down and the doll's in a chair and he walks over to it He picks it up he throws it across the room and he said God's more powerful than a double And he was trying to be all that and less than an hour later Well on the way home before he left Lorraine actually said be careful driving home Okay, and so unless an hour later his car goes out of control just like the Warrens did You know earlier and just like the Warrens did when they were investigating Amityville They had car troubles then um I believe his breaks went out on him.

Yeah, and it says half the car was sheared off And I can't remember if they even said it He was a truck, I can't remember if it was a truck or a tree And he should have died Um, but what Ed said was God will only let Oops, my notes are kind of weird The devil goes so far sometimes so um, you know, he actually survived But he says the last thing he remembers seeing was an image of the doll before he crashed Right in the rear room here and he saw it sitting in the back seat There's also a friend of theirs that was a police officer. I believe that came over the house Detective detective detective Um, did I really believe in the paranormal? I wrote policemen and I scratched it out Good detective Sweet, but he from what I understand he didn't really believe in the paranormal Um, I No, they were well they were working on a murder of a little child and they went through the rain a lot because she's Clairvoyant and so um Anyway, go ahead So yeah, I guess he was while he was over there working on the case with him He I think he went upstairs or he went to the office where the doll was Yeah, he has to look around the museum and it's like yeah, just don't touch anything And he had to like go to the bathroom or down to the phone or something I think he did I think when the detective came back Um, Ed said that the the detective was He didn't really talk he just kept saying he's like the doll It's real or something like that Yeah, and Ed said he was visibly shaken and pale and he was only there for 10 minutes And and it kind of made him more of a believer in the paranormal Well, Ed thought that he had an art attack or something Oh, really? Because he was like he was just pale and shaking and and you know, it's thinking oh, you know, you're having a medical episode you want money to help you and the detective Think about calling an ambulance?

Yeah, and Ed was like or the detective was like no, I don't want to talk about it And so you know the um that You know after they got it taken care of or you know, they got everything settled Ed and Lorraine went into the museum and everything was actually knocked over And the detective actually resigned He just seems like I'm done and I can't do this anymore and he resigned as opposed So um, then there's one more there was a college student that said it was crap And he went over and knocked because at some point Ed put the doll in a case He's like we can't have people touching those or picking it up. You know, we gotta we gotta not vanna And there's if you've seen it, there's a sign on it This is do not open this case for any reason whatsoever and I'm paraphrasing But this college student went over and knocked on the case and he says you can't do anything You know, he he dared it to put slashes in him And um when I heard this Ed came out, he's like, you know, you can't mess with this You gotta leave Yeah, don't challenge That's one of our rules, huh? Yep, don't challenge that's our first rule number one Can't do not challenge and three hours later this boy was dead And his girlfriend said um they were on a motorcycle And the girlfriend was with him and she said that he was laughing about the doll Making fun of it and they smashed into a tree And the girlfriend actually ended up being in the hospital for over a year with, you know, residual issues from this So yeah, please don't challenge that So that thing happened, they were actually having a party And um, I guess they had like a 24 inch long like bores tooth necklace in Ed's office and it just exploded So there was a father there, a priest there at the time that went into inspect and see what was going on And um, I believe he picked up the animal, he saw the doll move and he picked it up and everyone snapped photos Of the priest and when they developed the film, there was two bright beacons of light above Annabel Pointing at the priest So you know ultimately Annabel it happened 50 years ago, give or take Um, and you know in 50 years certain details can get a little skewed and you know blah blah blah But I have no doubt in my mind that um these things actually happened to have no doubt in my mind that it was um You know that the doll was possessed by a uh, a demonic entity And this kind of segues, that's the word of the day segues, I think you used it about four or five times That's a thing you write around them all But I kind of want to talk about um, the four steps of possession Because this was, I think if they let this go, I think it would have fallen all the way through And the nurse that all would have been possessed Well the demonologist, they straight up saying like, one another week or two, it probably would have killed them all Yeah, so so the first step is infestation An infestation is just your typical haunted house type of stuff Objects moving footsteps, odors with no, you know, no source that you can tell Um infestations don't affect people directly Um, it's going to affect property objects, sometimes animals, but it's pretty benign At first, you know, it's just gonna kind of lure you in, it's just kind of, it's just kind of You know poking the bear in here, they look at you, just kind of trying to get your attention The next step is oppression and this is where your activity steps up This is where the demonic entity, the humane entity says, okay, I've got their attention Now let's kind of move in for the kill So these are the progression of the demonic Yes Possession Yes Okay, because that first step, oftentimes, um, human spirits might try to get your attention Right, and if it's a human spirit trying to get your attention, um, you know, you're gonna get that same, you know, that first step, the infestation You're gonna get the footsteps, you're gonna get objects moving, it doesn't necessarily mean There's a demon trying to possess you, so I don't want an uptick in phone calls, so listen to the rest of this If we start moving on to number three, maybe give us a call Um, so oppression, this is where the activity steps up, you're gonna start getting physical attacks, you're gonna start getting, you know, scratched Or the slashes, like in the Annabelle, um, sleep disturbances, including nightmares, um, anxiety, depression, now Yeah, you're gonna be listening to this going, oh my gosh, we've got number two, now a lot of this just happens in life Um, you know, in life we have bad dreams in life, we get anxiety, we get depression If you watch the news, you're, you're, anxiety, depression, or probably through the roof, I had a moment a couple days ago where I just couldn't handle life Um, but if you get one after the other, just in a really quick succession, that's when you maybe have to say to yourself, you know, um, maybe there's a problem So step three is obsession Now this is when the afflicted person has a hard time functioning, um, you're constantly preoccupied with thoughts of demonic activity Um, and demonic activity, common during your life, you have frequent thoughts of, oh, I can't talk, frequent thoughts of suicide Um, sleep is nearly impossible at this point, um, and after the obsession point, this is where the possession actually comes in Now, contrary to popular belief, possession is not to demons entering someone's body and taking Over your soul and everything, um, your free will has never removed, your free will is there, but it's severely compromised if you're possessed Yeah, people that are possessed, you're so broken down from the first three steps that Um, you have, you know, the demonic entities and human entities are just really able to take over your actions They really can't take over your thoughts, your thoughts are still there, and that's why, um, that's why exorcism works because, but you really have to fight through it, you have to fight Because you've been so broken down that you just want to give up Um, so some of the signs, if you're actually possessed, some signs are human, super human strength, um, you can suddenly speak foreign languages that you don't know You have knowledge that you shouldn't have, um, severe aversion to holy objects Um, and even changes in your facial features Um, one of the things that I was just doing some research to make sure I had this all straight is it said, um, that 360 degree head spins are not included in possessions that can't actually happen No, that's breaking that can kill you Yeah, so if that's happening, you got something else Peace soup thrown out of your mouth I have talked to a lot of people over the years that have told me experiences that they've had, um, mainly, uh, more missionaries I've heard some crazy experiences It's mainly in other countries, too, that hasn't been here in the US, but, uh, missionaries that have been on the mission in other states or countries, um, have dealt with something similar like They've, um, had like a daughter that was upstairs in the bedroom and, you know, they're in the Philippines or whatever And the kid starts speaking perfect English to these, you know, American Mormon missionaries The kid that had no experience with English, like, hasn't learned it, hadn't been taught it Um, I've heard a ton of stories, like, I had one guy that used to tell me all the stories of, uh, when he was on his mission on a Native American reservation Um, I've been hearing stuff from, and I think it's fascinating, it's always more of a missionaries It seemed to have the best stories when it comes to dealing with that part of, um, possession Right, well, I think, you know, Castle and I, earlier on in a couple episodes, we've mentioned kind of the experience that he and I had, um, back in the 1990s, but, uh, the, uh, the man that we were dealing with Um, I do believe that he was possessed and he actually started speaking in a language that we didn't recognize and that was super creepy, so yeah, because I don't like that Anyway, so that is Annabelle Yeah, not scared to look at, it's kind of weird now, oh, so one thing I do want to mention, I spoke to, uh, Peter's home way down, uh, to record And, in her opinion, the doll is no longer possessed or, uh, it doesn't have that attachment with the spirit anymore Um, she doesn't believe that the spirit is actually with the doll, it could be somewhere we don't know Um, however, this spirit was able to put enough of its residual negative energy into the doll That it's there to the state, that the doll still does remain dangerous Um, and, you know, we can't say for sure whether or not the spirit is left because we've only seen pictures of videos We haven't actually physically been around the doll Right, so this is- But there is still a lot of negative energy on that doll, it is not something to be messed with, don't go to the museum, don't start taunting it Um, because this entity did put that intention in there to mess with people that kind of try to provoke it So its energy is still with that doll to this day Right, so this, the next thing I'm going to say is completely my opinion, um, so take it or leave it, leave it, leave it with whatever But in my opinion, these kind of entities were denied a body and that's what they want and they will do whatever they need to get one And they don't know how to work one when they get one, um, and so I can see the entity, you know, sitting inside this doll in the museum going, well, I can't be anybody here And so I think it moved on to try to, you know, find someone, but I do think there's- I think it left a little marker there And I think if someone were to get it, it would go, oh, thank you, so, you know, thank there's somebody Yeah, let me close it well, I mean, it's like us, we unknowingly leave our energy wherever we go And it's something that things, entities, some gifted people can actually pick up on, they can trace your energy And with it leaving its own energy, purposely on this doll I think a reason, your theory there is absolutely true If someone's around it, it can be like, oh, hey Yeah, well, hey, look, someone's paying attention to me, let's go back to the doll Yeah, right now, I'm in a book and library, but, you know, no one's paying attention to me here, we'll go back to the doll So I don't think it wanders around that museum only, I think it's out there somewhere Yep, no it's- Our personal opinion, we don't have to prove it, so don't go around and be like, oh, they said, um, I mean, we kind of did, but we didn't It could be there, it could not be there I also don't like how the card was so handy, there you don't care I don't think it's just chilling in the museum, I think it's out there somewhere My personal opinion So, do you want to hear the paranormal backing of this week? Oh, do you have some weird wild stuff for us this week?

I do, because Annabel's not weird enough No, not at all Actually, so while I was looking, some of you might think this is lame, but I thought it was lame Oh, it's lame Shh, um, I never really thought about the difference between supernatural and paranormal I just kind of thought they were, you know, you could use them either or But apparently, they're just much indifferent, did you know that? And there's something wacky that goes with this I know supernatural is a show on Netflix Yeah, bear with me So, so- We had the name of our- Kind of a podcast Absolutely, so supernatural is phenomenon beyond our ability to understand and doesn't fit with the natural law of stuff And we're kind of- we're kind of weird to understand sometimes, let's see, that works So we're supernatural, not sort of natural Okay, so the definition of paranormal, and this is just based off of one guy, so other people might have different opinions But this is what this one guy said He says paranormal goes beyond what we consider normal and hasn't been scientifically proven yet So, let me give you an example Germs theory Now, how on earth do germs mix it with the paranormal? Coronavirus No, all seriousness Um, in the 1700s, people getting sick was actually considered paranormal Because they did not understand how germs spread and how you should wash your hands I mean, we know that now So it's no longer paranormal, you get sick, it's like we should wash your hands too, but you should wash your math We should warn your mask But in the 1700s they didn't understand that, so getting sick in the 1700s was paranormal Those were not ghost footsteps, by the way Or were they? Um, anyway, yeah, they didn't understand how it worked But, you know, as time went on and doctors and scientists figured out that germs spread disease And you really should wash your hands before you operate on somebody They don't still want to compare them, so there's your wackiness Well, that's interesting, I did not know that Sick people prior to 1700s were And burned on islands And Dr.

Lister, in the 1865 He saved lots and lots of people's lives because he's the one that started the washing of an antiseptic along people's um surgical tools and instruments and washing the hands And they thought he was weird? Mouthwash? And guess what, yes, Listerine is named after him That's why I wasn't sure No, that's actually, that's actually it Well, that's kind of Not only are we talking about paranormal, but we're teaching you history as well See, you just become all sorts of Wash your hands Wash your hands You have learned more in this last hour than, I don't know So You have a stone for? Yeah, sardonics And I see it, it looks pretty It's blue and black and that picture Green and red and that one It can be red, black, brown, clear So pick your color Yes Um It is easily obtained from specialty stores, it's out there You can find it It's one that I see a lot of it's out there Yeah It sounds, it sounds common just because you hear it a lot, not because it's common So, um, sardonics, it's actually, it's not of strength and protection It invokes the search for a meaningful existence and promotes integrity and virtuous conduct You know, there's a lot of people who need this right now Probably, um We should just spray down all the mobs To be honest with you, like when I pick the stones to talk about I literally sit down, you watch me do it I don't have a plan, I have a time, I sit down and just kind of Flip through my crystal bible and whatever one that I kind of get told to stop and talk about That's what I'm talking about, so So, uh That's what I need right now So with, also with sardonics, it brings lasting happiness And stability to marriage and partnerships That attracts friends and good fortune as well It can be gridded around the house And garden to prevent crime Um, it's A stone can be placed at each corner At the doors and windows But it's more effective to douse for exactly the right place Gridding, that's basically the, what I just said, putting in the corners of the yard or home Dowsing, um, I've only ever used it to try to talk to spirits I've never actually used dowsing to kind of figure out Hey, what's a good place for this?

Um Me personally, I can kind of feel the energy and felt where stones need to go But that would be interesting to kind of use dowsing rods to try to set up a grid That would be interesting Um, psychologically, sardonics supplements willpower and strengthens character It increases stamina, vigor and self control This stone alleviates depression and overcomes hesitancy Mentally, sardonics improves perception and aids the process of osmosis And processing of information Now as a healing stone, it heals the lungs and bones And resonates the sensory organs It regulates fluids and cell metabolism Strengthening the immune system and aids the absorption of nutrients and elimination of waste products You want to place this anywhere, especially on the stomach Unless your stomach's big and under my block Nope, big belly buttons that hold it right in place Ah, I'm guessing, I don't know Um, so in addition to generic properties, specific colors have additional attributes Such as black sardonics, which absorbs in negativity Brown sardonics is grounding energy and clear actually purifies Where red will stimulate So you can't just pick your favorite color, you gotta kind of pick the one that matches the issue Well, you pick the one that has all the colors I don't think it ever is So find the magic one that has all the colors and you've got it all Sweet But that's the stone that I have for you this week, uh, sardonics I don't think I have that one, that would be the good one to get I don't think I have it either I don't think I have it either I'll give it a little extra angle spray down on the mops because they need some calming down Yes, and it prevents crime Sweet But don't call me on that Okay I don't know if it's gonna keep someone from robbing your house No, that's what we call this one, go there I tend to lean more towards the Get rid of your security system and just yeah That's why we have the second index Get rid of that ring doorbell that you just bought and Let's talk about You know, you know who you are, ring doorbell owner Um, I gotta ring Um, get rid of your ring doorbells, get rid of your security cameras, put up with your sardonics You should be good to go Um, I keep your eye, keep all of that disregard I think I just said No, I think it has a great protection stone Um As far as like absorbing negative energy I would say that would probably Probably as accurate I lean more towards the metaphysical side of crystals Um I think it's also I think another reason why this one kind of pop up this week Is the alleviation of depression Yeah, a few days ago I had a, I had a rough day So Because I tend to feel the feels And all the world feels kind of overwhelmed me and I had a moment I've noticed like it seems like lately the stones that I keep picking have something to do with anxiety and depression So there's an ongoing theme with the stones I'm picking So if you're feeling any of these, I know a couple weeks ago I gave an entire list of stones Um, I'll have to go back and find that list I'll post on Facebook I did not get the video up like I said it would Because if I share it straight from my page it has my name on it and I don't want Most of you knowing my personal Facebook page Even though most of you probably already do Um, I'll get it uploaded properly Uh before this airs so Um, and I'll also have that list for you Of the stones that help fight anxiety and depression Oh, sorry So I think that we are about an hour So we'll call it an episode I'm still in Dawn's line this week It's an episode We'll call it an episode Peace out butterflies See you next week Time Normal.com The supernatural hour is part of the Radio Ronin Network found at radioronin.com
