We are so thrilled to be here, so thank you for joining us. This podcast covers our reasoning for launching a podcast and why we've asked Anne Hardy to be our first guest. Anne is an Associate Professor at the University of Tasmania in the School of Social Sciences and her research interests include tourist behaviour and sustainable tourism. The extra special bit about Anne is that she recently undertook research to assess the role that Blue Derby Pods Ride has in contributing to the achievement of flow state for our guests. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile.
