Anne of Green Gables Chapter 11 - Anne's Impressions of Sunday School

In which Anne receives a new set of sensible, plain dresses that, while neat and serviceable, fail to satisfy her yearning for something pretty and fashionable, particularly with puffed sleeves. She ventures to Sunday-school for the first time, adorned with a garland of wildflowers on her plain hat, experiences the curious glances of the other children, and finds both the lesson and the minister’s sermon somewhat lacking in inspiration, despite her best efforts to behave and learn.
