Anne of the Island Chapter 13 - The Way of Transgressors

In which a wayward little lad named Davy indulges in a series of lively transgressions on the Sabbath, stirred to rebellion by the stern admonitions of Mrs. Lynde, and drags his reluctant sister Dora into a day of fishing and mischief with the wild Cottons. By nightfall, the weight of conscience bears down upon him, and comforted by Anne’s gentle counsel, he begins to reckon with the tender lessons of remorse and forgiveness.
