Annette Quaid (no 2).
from The Masters of Running Podcast.
Annette Quaid recently won the Irish Masters Athlete of the Year award and is back for her second chat with me after an amazing year. She won double gold in the 800 and 400 in the World Indoor Champs along with silver in the 200. Also, double relay gold and 400m gold in the European Masters. She talks wonderfully here about the importance of long breaks, planning your season and all the years of hard training that goes into her performances and the feeling of acceptance she gets from younger athletes. An insightful awareness too, as an 800m runner, into how sprinters achievements can be overlooked sometimes as the races are so short but she explains the toll those short races take. Hope you enjoy it and please share it.If you enjoy the podcast and want to help cover costs like Zoom, editing software; kit and future development like my planned live shows, you can now support the show through the trusted creator support app, 'Buy me a coffee.'
