Anointed To Impart

God does not give you something just for yourself. The anointing is His empowering presence for a specific purpose, meant to flow through you to reveal Christ more clearly to others. As Acts 10:38 says, “God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power… for God was with Him.” That same anointing lives in every believer.

This message calls for deeper commitment and connection. Elisha received Elijah’s mantle not because of convenience but because he stayed faithful. When offered opportunities to turn back, Elisha responded, “I will not leave you” (2 Kings 2:2). His persistence positioned him to receive more than just instruction. He caught the anointing. And when the moment came, Elisha did not exalt himself. He asked, “Where is the Lord, the God of Elijah?” (2 Kings 2:14), revealing that the true aim of the anointing is to point people back to God.

Believers are challenged to do three things: value the treasure inside you, be generous with your gift, and make it your mission to propel others into their calling. You may not feel impressive, but “we have this treasure in earthen containers, so that the extraordinary greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves” (2 Corinthians 4:7).

The question is not whether you are gifted. It is whether you will pour it out. Because someone else’s breakthrough may begin when you share what you carry.

As you reflect on this message this week, consider the following:

1. Are you truly valuing the treasure that God has placed inside you, or have you allowed doubt or comparison to keep it buried?
2. What would it look like to be more generous with your gift? Who around you might grow if you opened doors of revelation through your testimony?
3. Elisha’s faithfulness positioned him to receive more. In what areas of your life is God inviting you to stay connected and committed so you can carry more for others?
