Another Tragedy on Katahdin | Portland Maine News

A body was found on Maine’s highest peak, Katahdin, sparking renewed attention to the mountain’s deadly reputation. With over 60 recorded deaths since 1933, the rugged terrain and harsh weather continue to claim lives — from a father and daughter lost to hypothermia and fall trauma last June, to two climbers airlifted during a storm earlier this year. Authorities are now working to identify the latest victim as an autopsy and investigation unfold in Augusta. Listen in comfort: Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
