Another View History Lesson: Black Loyalists

They were known as "Black Loyalists" - enslaved and free persons of African descent who fought with the British during the Revolutionary War. Why did they do it? Why did they move to Canada after the war was over? And what is their connection to Virginia Beach, Virginia? We delve into those questions during a special 90-minute history lesson about a little-known part of America's history as we commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
