I grew up with guilt and shame, it’s just the way it was. The God I knew about was a God of retribution, Jesus however was a more loving presence which I gravitated to.  Justice is often thought of as balance, but what if it is more about how can we stand in the flow of infinite love in the midst of our worst moments?
