Answers For This Eagles Team? (PST Show #339)

from The Philadelphia Sports Table | Philly Sports News & Views · host The Philadelphia Sports Table

We are all searching for answers as this Philadelphia Eagles season has been nothing short of a disappointment as concerns have been raised in many areas of this team and front office. Joining us this week to get into this Eagles season here in week 13 is Brandon Lee Gowton, better known as BLG, from BleedingGreenNation.com and the BGN Radio podcast. It's a great interview with Brandon that you won't want to miss! But first, we discussed the development of Ben Simmons and how concerned we are about that jump shot and what it means to the team. (approx. 4:35)We then got into a bunch of Phillies offseason talk: the hiring of Joe Dillon as their new hitting coach, bullpen pitchers signed to the 40-man roster, and issues surrounding the luxury tax for the coming season. (approx. 9:25)This week on the Highbrow Segment, we talked about the disparity in salary between male and female sports entertainment analysts. (approx. 19:55)Then on our Lowbrow Segment, we gave out another top-3 list. This time, what are biggest sports failures and disappointments of 2019. (approx. 31:40)What we're throwing down on the Table this week is an in-depth interview with Brandon Lee Gowton from Bleeding Green Nation. We of course discussed Carson Wentz and what we've seen from him on the field, a lack of weapons and how coaching is playing into his regressed quarterbacking. We also talked about the need for a change in offensive play calling philosophy. How concerned should we be about the Eagles defensive line down the road? Should we already start looking toward 2020 as this season is getting ready to close? All of this and much more this week on the Table! (approx. 41:00)
