Dr. Anthea Bulter joins the conversation to discuss her latest book White Evangelical Racism: The Politics of Morality in America. Our discussion includes the connections of proto-Evangelicals's theology and lynching, what it means to hide behind theological ideology and why Donald Trump's election was not out of character for religious Americans. Casey and Dr. Bulter also discuss the connections between Billy Graham's anti-communism and Evangelical push-back to civil rights and collective guilt that still goes on today (c.f.
