Anthonie Cooper is among the overlooked Arizona State Sun Devils football defenders for 2024

The Arizona State Sun Devils football program had a sneaky good defense in 2023 and although several new faces are joining the unit to replace others, several players seem to be getting overlooked. Between returning depth players like Gharin Stansbury and Anthonie Cooper up front, we could see them pushed into larger roles in 2024. The linebacker position has no shortage of competition with Tate Romney and Caleb McCollough back joining transfers Keyshaun Elliott, Jordan Crook, and Zyrus Fiaseu. The safety position also has plenty of competitors to start across from Shamari Simmons including Montana Warren, who looked like a blossoming star before injury. Between Warren, Xavion Alford, Kamari Wilson, and Myles Rowser, the Sun Devils should have plenty of safety depth for the upcoming season.
