Anti-gang unit launched in Hanover Park

SAfm — President Cyril Ramaphosa has assured the community of Hanover Park in the Western Cape that the newly launched the anti-gang unit will protect residents. The 95-member strong team has been in operation for a month now. Members of the unit will be deployed to other crime-ridden areas such as Nyanga, Bonteheuwel and Bishop Lavis. Ramaphosa says both the national and provincial governments as well as the police have heard the pleas of communities of gang-affected areas.
