Antisemitism in Christianity
from Apostolic Podcast · host Apostle
Christianity emerged from Judaism and became the most dominant religion worldwide. Jesus and all the apostles were Jewish and all the books of the Bible that gives us so many blessings, wisdom and revelation, were written by Jews and the God of the Bible calls himself the God of Israel. Jesus did not come to establish a new religion but to bring a new covenant for the Jews and open this covenant also to the Gentile nations. However, something strange happened in the 3rd century, when the church adopted the replacement theology, stating that Israel had been rejected as God's chosen people and the "new" Israel is now the church. This replacement theology is not biblical and let to lots of antisemitism within the church for centuries. We will look at the scriptures today and how the church's relationship with Israel and the Jewish people should really be. Be blessed!
