Anything for Jackson

In this episode of Horror Junkies, Mike, Pat, and Dylan return from a short break and dive straight into the icy, grief-soaked nightmare of Anything for Jackson, the Shudder original that turns possession horror completely inside out. What begins as a quiet story about mourning grandparents quickly spirals into an occult kidnapping, a reverse exorcism, and one of the most unsettling home invasions in modern horror. We break down how the film subverts traditional demon movie tropes, why its intimate suburban setting makes the terror hit even harder, and how its exploration of grief, obsession, and desperation elevates it beyond standard possession fare. From its shocking practical horror moments to its bleak emotional core, we unpack what makes this film linger long after the credits roll. Is Anything for Jackson an underrated gem in the Shudder catalog, or one of the boldest occult horror films of the past decade? Expect deep dives into its themes of loss and control, raw reactions to those scenes, and the kind of chaotic side tangents only Horror Junkies can deliver. 🎥 Anything for Jackson is now streaming on Shudder. Just remember… some rituals should never be reversed. Don’t forget to: Leave us a review, follow us on our socials and tell your horror-loving friends about the show!
