from Everyday Leadership

Success takes time "The delays and the waiting was super important for me. Because it gave me the right time. I needed to get myself ready for the blessings and the opportunities that were gonna come my way..." (Want to read a full written for reading transcript version of this episode? Download it here.) Successful relationships take time. It's not something you can just snap your fingers and have accomplished! It is possible with enough effort on both parts of the relationship. Whether that be in marriage or otherwise. You need to invest into yourself first before investing any energy outside of yourself. If you want to be best prepared for what life throws at us all, you need to understand and appreciate the flowing of time. Being mindful and ready for unexpected challenges which may arise due to circumstance beyond your control such as job loss etc. Then come back around full circle by giving love to where its fundamentally needed. Yourself. This episode is the first following a short break for the summer. Listen as I reflect on my own appreciation for time. In this episode I'm hoping to share some wisdom with you, as I talk about my short period of time taken recharging my batteries with my family. I share my learning from that experience, and how I'm applying that going forward. I also explain how my leadership coaching approach factors in the identities of individuals both in business and at home. And again, how time has impact on both. I also share the following verse and share how it's highly relevant to this episode. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.5It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,it is not easily angered,it keeps no record of wrongs.6Love does not delight in evilbut rejoices with the truth.7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
