AOC Endorses Angie Nixon for Senate | US News

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is boldly backing Angie Nixon for U.S. Senate, calling her a grassroots champion for Florida’s working families—despite skipping the primary where Nixon defeated establishment favorite Alexander Vindman. Nixon, now the Democratic nominee, sees Ocasio-Cortez as proof that politics can center everyday people over the wealthy. With Bernie Sanders also endorsing her, Nixon faces a steep climb against Republican Ashley Moody—a Trump-backed appointee who’s attacked Nixon’s ties to the Democratic Socialists of America. Forecasters call it a solidly Republican race, but Nixon’s message of community-driven change could resonate in a state hungry for fresh leadership.
