aotw: Taylor Swift

hello welcome back to another episode of broken record my name is ellie i'm your host and today we're going to be doing an artist of the week so this artist of the week is taylor swift and i absolutely adore her i think she is one of the most incredible songwriters of our time she is so brilliant and i love her lyrics and i love her music videos and i love everything about her yeah i'm excited to talk about it so taylor swift i got into her music when 22 came out and then i got like obsessed i'm not obsessed but like i got even more into her music when 1989 came out because i absolutely adored the song i know places i thought the little like tape recording effect in the beginning was just brilliant and i was just amazed by it mind you i was i think nine when this came out so it was it was revolutionary for me it was very cool but yeah i love i love i love i love taylor swift and her albums i'm very glad i know about her even though it's hard not to know about her i've seen her in concert twice i went to see her the first time i saw her was my second concert ever and it was for the 1989 world tour she came to seattle she played at century link which is now lumen field and it was incredible i loved it we went with a whole group of friends and it was super fun and then i also saw her for the reputation world tour where she also came to lumen field and i went with my mom on that one and that was super fun i love taylor swift i love her performances i think she's such an entertaining performer she just really captivate to you she has hilarious facial expressions she's really good with timing timing is a really big part of her performances and i think she nails it she also has backup dancers that are so incredible and even if taylor's not on your side of the stage or whatever they're most likely backup dancers there that are entertaining you so it's not like you're just looking at the back of taylor you have something to watch and it's very i love her concerts they're very entertaining and something cool about her concerts i don't think i've seen anyone else do is she has like when you enter the venue you get a bracelet like a white bracelet that has a light in it and so throughout the concert the bracelet will light up and like change colors and it's very cool because taylor swift she does this so like wherever you are in the venue she can see you like even if you're in the very top row she can still see you because she can see your lights and i think that's very cool and going to her concerts when the lights are all like lit up it is so beautiful it is so beautiful i love it when like people shine their flashlights and stuff at concerts i think it looks so pretty and this is basically just like constantly shining your flashlights so it's very beautiful i taylor swift has been nominated for 42 grammy awards 42 that is insane that is insane some artists don't get any in their life she's gotten 42 and she's not even done with her career she's won 11 of those which is crazy she's nominated for a grammy in this upcoming grammy awards um i believe it's for album of the year forevermore and i'm very excited to see it i loved her outfit at last year's grammy's the little floral dress was so beautiful and i loved her little braided hair that went along with the outfit it was super cute i also thought her performance was very cool it was like a medley of a couple of her songs from folklore and it was very beautiful and the set was just incredible it was very it was very cool and then taylor swift has some very nice music videos uh she's very brilliant with what her music videos are and she's also notoriously known for putting little easter eggs in her music videos i love love love watching them and then going online and seeing like what people noticed about it and like what different types of hints or easter eggs there are like if she made a funny facial expression at a certain point it's very interesting so some of my favorite music videos of hers are the you belong with me music video i love that one i think it's very cute it's the one where she has the where she's in her pjs and she writes notes to the boy across the the boy across the street or the boy next door and um she like it's i love it and she like dresses up as like that cheerleader and she has dark hair and it's very funny i also love the wildest dreams music video i think it is so cool and funny i love the house that they were in it's so pretty and i there was there was an app that she like created like this feels like a fever dream to me because i tried to find it but it's just oh my gosh i'm talking about the wrong music video i think it's the blank space music video actually but yeah it is but they the house that they filmed that in they like made an app out of it where it was like a whole puzzle or something and you have to like there's like different clues you could unlock and i don't even know what it is but i tried to find it a couple months ago and i just couldn't and i got very sad because i love that music video when it originally not in the app i love the app when it came out and i'm sad i didn't find it but yeah i love the blank space music video it's very cool i also love the bad blood music video there are so many famous people in that music video ellen pompeo's in it zendaya's in it gd's in it like oh it's crazy there's so many there's so many like cameos in it i also love the her like all of her reputation music videos are so cool to me they're very like well produced and well written i guess they're very cool effects and very good editing i guess is what i'm trying to say i really love the ready for it music video because i think that's the one where she like is like a robot or something and like it starts off with her like breaking her robot self out of the glass or something i think that's i think that's in the ready for it music video but it's very cool i also really love the music video for the man for one reason only and that reason is that the man in the music video is taylor swift just the prosthetics and i think that's so cool because when i originally saw it i had no no no idea that was taylor swift i was amazed when i found that out very good very good prosthetic job i also really love the music video for i bet you think about me i love that music video it makes me so happy i love that song i love the whole wedding theme to it i love that like she's the only one in red it's very cool i also love the music video i guess the short film of all too well the 10 minute version but it's like but she turned it into a short film so like there's like scenes embedded into the music video it's very cool i definitely definitely recommend watching it it's very it's very brilliant sadie sink and bill no brian star and it's just cool yeah i love taylor swift she's so cool she's such a good lyricist like i cannot explain to you how many lyrics i just adore of hers i have to like i'll come up with a list and watch them because i like i can't even think of any off the tone in my head i just know that she's so good and there's so many hidden meanings and her lyrics i like i like there could be a whole series based on her lyrics but yeah very interesting thank you so much for listening um i and i hope you enjoyed this episode um if maybe you heard
