In the first part of today’s show, we looked at how bonobos enjoy pretend tea parties while chimpanzees demonstrate surprisingly rational thinking — raising new questions about just how similar apes are to humans. Then we talked about a new theory on how imagination really works in the brain, and why it might completely change what we thought we knew.
