China plays an important role in IPv6 and hopes to become a key contributer to the speed-up of deployment of next generation Internet around the world. IPv6 and next generation Internet will play a great role in traditional fields, and bring new customer experiences and energy saving efforts. Realizing energy saving and environment protection using IPv6 is the new trend of the next generation Internet. Combining IPv6 with environment protection and energy saving is not an extra cost; it is a good opportunity for many companies, which will bring high return on investment. UGCCNet, the Ubiquitous Green Community Control Network, seeks to realize energy conservation and an environment-friendly green society with the construction of a digital eco-city empowered by new IT technologies. The application fields of UGCCNet include a digital eco-city, intelligent building, transportation systems, digital homes, and automatic offices, etc. UGCCNet is a standard under the framework of IEEE-SA.
