Sumeet highlights DevOps as a main end-user of AppFormix technology and their desire to deliver low-latency user experience to them. AppFormix has taken advantage of Intel technology for many reasons; Sumeet points out one reason is to provide micro-level visibility and control of shared resources inside of the processor. The ability to monitor and manage cache and memory bandwidth at the processor level with AppFormix and Intel RDT improves application latency by 70 percent, which is extremely important to DevOps.
