On this episode of Stock Movers: Shares of Apple (AAPL) edged higher in the Friday session, paring earlier losses following news that the iPhone maker and the US Justice Department are in early discussions about settling a 2024 lawsuit that alleges the iPhone maker violated antitrust laws. Earlier in the day, Apple briefly surpassed Nvidia as the world’s most valuable company. Shares of Netflix (NFLX) fell the most in more than four years after the company forecast a second consecutive quarter of slowing sales growth, contributing to investor anxiety about the streaming giant’s future. The company on Thursday projected revenue of $12.9 billion in the current quarter and earnings of 82 cents a share, both a little shy of analysts’ expectations. Shares of Meta Platforms (META) pared earlier losses following Bloomberg News reporting that the company is in early discussions to lease computing power from its data centers to Anthropic PBC, according to people familiar with the matter.
