Apple Finally Lets You Hide the Most Annoying iPhone Button

Apple is finally fixing the single most infuriating button on your iPhone. You know that tiny audio icon right next to the send button in Messages? One tiny slip of your thumb and your music instantly cuts out. It got so annoying that even Justin Bieber publicly called out Apple on Instagram. Well, in iOS 27, Apple is finally listening. You can now completely remove that icon. Just open Settings, head to Messages, tap Show in Text Field, and select None. Poof, gone forever. And don't worry, you won't lose audio notes. You can still send them through the plus menu or use the keyboard mic. It only took 27 versions of iOS, but your music playback is finally safe.
