Appreciation Station and beer drinking Biology Teachers

from No Outlet · host Ethan Jule

When I was in High School, I had a Biology teacher (who was also a neighbor) who would always wear a shirt that said "ATTITUDE MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE".  White Shirt, bold black letters. He would also drink Bud pounders non stop and buy weed from my Mom's boyfriend...ahh, the early 80s.  Anyway, when I used to see his shirt, I never really knew what it meant. There were a few times that I asked him and he did give an answer but it just didn't compute with my unformed brain. To be truthful, I am still not sure exactly what he was trying to convey with that shirt slogan. However, I think that after 52 years on this planet, I may have finally cracked the code. Now, I like to believe that what he was saying (and ultimately his belief) was that regardless of what is going on around you or in front of you or even "to" you, the only thing that really mattered was how you reacted to everything as that ultimately dictated how it impacted your life. Taking that thought a step further, one could say that if you have a good/positive attitude then you are aligning yourself to be met with positive events and situations...you are expecting it. Conversely, if you are always focused on bad things and negative outcomes well they will find you too. Even if bad things do come your way, how much you let it impact you is ultimately a choice. Go watch "Life is Beautiful" and you will see what I am trying to say. With that as the premise, I would have to agree with my Neighbor/Teacher/Beer Drinker/Ahead of his time spiritual mage and concur that ATTITUDE DOES MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE. This episode is (somewhat) focused on that thought but I really just scratched the surface of a few topics. The bottom line is that...for me...expecting good things and showing gratitude  towards everything and everyone as much as possible seems to work really well. Hope you all give it a try and find the same results, thank you for listening! #positive, #gratitude, #appreciateion, #happiness, #manifest, #energy, #lawofattraction, #budpounders, #attitude, #80s, #lifeisbeautiful

They were young, dumb, and full of it. What followed were comedy shows so explicit, “genitalia” was practically a term of endearment.Fast forward 5 dogs, 6 cats, and way too many weird inside jokes later, Sasha and Joe are no longer young or dumb—but they’re still brimming with you-know-what. Here, they’ve teamed up to bring you a podcast where they interview a guest who passionately defends something universally hated, misunderstood, forgotten, overlooked, Mandela-effected, canceled—you name it.
