Approach Life Differently!

Memory Verse: ‭‭"‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭"Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old." - Isaiah 43:18 NKJV Bible Text:  ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭1 Corinthians 12:31 NKJV 31. But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way. INSPIRATION: Someone once said, "It is madness to keep doing the same thing but expecting a different result." A lot of us are stuck in our old ways of reasoning, of doing things and solving problems but complain when nothing seem not to be working around us. Isaiah tells us to forget the old approach. Its validity and value chain has expired. That revelation has expired, that idea, inspiration, income-generating insight, etc can not longer fit into today's reality. You've got to approach today's problems with a different, higher and better approach. Paul calls it a 'more excellent way' (1 Cor. 12:31). This more excellent way is rendered in the Passion Translation as "A superior way to live that is beyond comparison!" What this implies is that there's always a better, no, more superior approach to anything we do. A mediocre could be satisfied and comfortable with their current level of experiences and results, but not you! An excellent mind would strive for more. Paul says, "Brothers and sisters, I know that I still have a long way to go. But there is one thing I do: I forget what is in the past and try as hard as I can to reach the goal before me" (Phi 3:13 ERV). There're goals before us this year that holding on to the trophies of yesterday can deprive us from attaining. There're skills, learning, depths, insights and revelations we must acquire this year. We can't be growing in age and not grow in stature. Maturity in this kingdom is not age-based by hunger-driven. Be hungry for more! TODAY'S TAKE HOME: ‭Sit down, analyse, list out your operational strategies. Compare your written down strategies with your approach of previous years. What new thing do you need to introduce? Open yourself to the Holy Spirit to scrutinise and correct your approach. PRAYER: Dear Lord, search me in my inward man and lead me through the right approach to maximise my results this year. Teach me, and guide my choices and approaches in far superior ways, in Jesus name.
