Maybe it was trusting the wrong friend, skipping homework for more fun, or saying something you couldn’t take back. Proverbs 14:12 warns us that not every path that feels right leads to a good place. That’s why Psalm 118 tells us to take refuge in the Lord instead of relying only on ourselves or others. And in Mark 12, Jesus flips the script, reminding us that in God’s kingdom, the way up often starts by humbling ourselves.Sometimes the loudest voices in life—social media, friends, even our own emotions—don’t point us toward what’s best.
