Like people only care if you’re popular, talented, or have something they want? Proverbs 14:20 nails it—sometimes people are treated better just because they seem more “successful.”And when we read Romans 1, it’s clear that when people ignore God, their hearts and values get twisted. It’s not just about breaking rules—it’s about walking away from what really matters: honoring God and loving others. Our world often lifts up what’s flashy and forgets the unseen, but God doesn’t play favorites. He sees the heart, and He cares about how we treat people—especially those who are often ignored.________________________________________THINK ABOUT IT1. Popularity Isn’t Everything: Are you tempted to treat people differently based on what they have, how they look, or what they can offer you? God values every person—not for what they have, but because they are made in His image.2. Watch What You Worship: Romans 1 shows us that when we put other things before God—whether that’s popularity, stuff, or even our own opinions—we lose our way. What’s taking up the most space in your heart and thoughts?3. Be the Difference: While the world may ignore the “poor,” God calls us to love them. Who is someone around you who might feel left out, and how can you show them God’s love today?________________________________________BOTTOM LINEWhen we choose to honor God and value others like He does, we shine in a dark world. Keep my heart from chasing what the world celebrates, and instead fill me with Your truth and compassion.
