But Proverbs 13:15–16 reminds us that wise choices lead to favor, while foolish ones lead to trouble. In Psalm 38, David is overwhelmed with guilt and physical pain because of his sin. He’s not just feeling bad emotionally—he feels it in his body. That’s how deep regret can go when we ignore wisdom.But here’s the good news: Mark 2 shows us Jesus doesn’t just see the surface; He sees our hearts. When a group of friends brought a paralyzed man to Jesus, He didn’t start by healing his legs. He started by healing his soul—by forgiving his sins. Jesus knew the man needed spiritual healing most of all.When we’ve messed up or feel broken inside like David, Jesus is ready to forgive, restore, and help us start fresh.
