April 22 2016 - Impartation & Prayer

Every believer in Jesus Christ has received a spiritual gift from the Holy Spirit. The Apostle Paul also indicates that spiritual gifts can be imparted through prayer and the laying on of hands. Paul writes, "For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— that is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith, both yours and mine" (Rom. 1:11). Paul exhorts his protege, Timothy, "For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands" (2 Timothy 1:6).
