Afraid of rejection, failure, or the future—those kinds of fear can trap us. But the Bible talks about a different kind of fear: the fear of the Lord. Not fear like being scared of a monster, but a deep awe and respect for who God is.In Proverbs 14:26–27, this fear brings confidence and life. It helps us avoid the traps of sin. And Romans 6 reminds us why that matters—because sin leads to death, but God offers a way out through Jesus. Choosing to follow Jesus is choosing freedom. Help me to truly understand what it means to fear You—to respect You, trust You, and follow You. I don’t want to be trapped by sin or fooled by fake freedom.
