His latest collection of poetry “The Diaspora Sonnets,” is winner of the New England Book Award for Poetry. These sonnets illuminate the immigrant experience with meditations on the meaning of home and family bonds. Yesterday Pope Francis visited a women’s prison on Giudecca Island, which is also the site of the Holy See Pavilion, which features the art of Boston legend Corita Kent. Nellie Scott, Executive Director of the Corita Art Center joins us from Venice to talk about Kent’s legacy and the significance of her work being included in the Holy See Pavilion.Finally, we wrap up Earth Month with Adam Gardner. The lead singer of Guster is also leading the way to make the music industry sustainable.
