In today's reading, Saul in disguise goes to a medium to talk to Samuel. The Philistines go to war with Israel, but Achish isn't allowed to bring David. David's wives get captured in Ziklag, but he is able to save them. In the end, Saul is cornered, loses his sons, and falls on the sword. This is a public episode.
