Arab American Chemist Wins Prestigious Award

Arab Americans have been pioneers in many fields throughout the world, and especially in the United States. And today, the Arab American communities celebrates the success of Dr. Aaaeddin Alsbaiee, who has been selected as one of the Talented 12 in Chemistry in the United States by the Chemical & Engineering News, a weekly newsmagazine of the American Chemical Society. Journalist Khalil Hachem discussed with Dr. Sabeiee the award and the road to success. Dr. Aaaeddin Alsbaiee has a bachelor degree from Damascus University, a Master's degree from King Fahd University in Saudi Arabia and A PHD from the University of Alberta. His postdoctoral research was conducted at Cornell University in New York, and in 2018, he moved to DuPont Inc., research centers in Newark, Delaware, which is focused on developing fabrication technologies of semiconductor and nano processors found in various smart electronic devices around the world. He has filed more than 55 patent applications in several “countries” worldwide, published 18 peer-reviewed publications and two book chapters.
