Arcana 5. The Hierophant

In each episode of Arcana, Jodie invites Soulstice team members Bea and Audree to unpack a Tarot card and see how the archetype can deepen our understanding of what it means to live, grow and change. The conversation is supported by their knowledge from lived experience, spontaneous thought and psychotherapy training.The Hierophant is our starting point for this episode. Our in-house Tarot specialist, Bea, introduces us to this card of spiritual wisdom and the symbols of ritual, community and materiality. Audree thinks about the unknown and highlights the importance of challenging the structures of knowledge within us. Jodie stresses the importance of questioning leaders in society to not fall into the trap of blind following. Although they thought this card would be boring, they end up being intrigued by its political nature and the power that religion and spirituality have over one’s purpose.
