Archaic Podcast 214 - Migas

from Archaic Podcast · host Archaic

Migas Live has become one of the most reputable live acts on the scene, with a impressive performance based on hardware and improvisation. The philosophy behind this project created by Gabriel Vazquez and Alexix Vaz is to create every performance as unique and unparalleled, using an array of analog and virtual analog hardware with the absence of pre-arranged sequences and patterns, bringing to the performance the natural art of improvisation and live creation. Those are the values that they support making live music on the dance floor, making sure that there are not tow equal performances, reminding with this the origins of electronic music where a bunch of few machines were the protagonists. Migas Live is influenced by many artists through the years, bringing a very particular sound which many will label as a retro-modern sound, remembering old school electro basslines, european techno rhythms, house percussion and italo-disco grooves. Migas Live is currently an active part of London’s music scene playing for events such as Solu, Schön, Blazar, And What? and many others. Migas Live is currently working on his first Album based on live improvised pieces that will be released towards the end of 2018. https://www.facebook.com/migasLive/ https://soundcloud.com/migasmusic https://www.instagram.com/migaslive/ Migas Rider: -Elektron Analog 4 mk1 -Elektron Analog 4 mk2 -Novation Circuit (x2 occasionally) -Arturia Microbrute -Roland Ju 06 -Roland Tr 707 -Roland Tr 727 -Roland Tr 8 -Various FX such as Compressor, Limiter, Delay, Reverb. -Allen and Heath ZED 24
