Archibald Hall aka Roy Fontaine: The Butler Did It.

from Hitched 2 Homicide · host Kris Calvert and Rob Pottorf

Archibald Hall knew how to look like the perfect gentleman. Using the name Roy Fontaine, the Glasgow-born thief transformed himself into an impeccably mannered butler, slipping effortlessly into the homes of Britain’s wealthy and aristocratic families. Behind the polished accent, tailored suits, and flawless service, however, was a calculating criminal willing to kill anyone who threatened to expose him. Between 1977 and 1978, Hall and his accomplice, Michael Kitto, left five people dead as theft, deception, and self-preservation escalated into murder. Their victims included Hall’s former prison associate David Wright, wealthy couple Walter and Dorothy Scott-Elliot, housekeeper Mary Coggle, and Donald Hall—Archibald’s own brother. Bodies were transported across Britain, buried in remote locations, or abandoned as Hall desperately tried to remain one step ahead of the law. Known as the Killer Butler and the Monster Butler, Archibald Hall built his life on illusion. But when suspicious behavior, stolen property, and a mismatched license plate finally attracted police attention, the carefully cultivated world of Roy Fontaine began to collapse. Join us as we uncover the extraordinary true story of Archibald Hall—a con man, thief, servant to the elite, and one of Scotland’s most notorious serial killers. sources used for this podcast Support the show JOIN THE  HITCHED 2 HOMICIDE IN-LAWS AND OUTLAWS START KRIS CALVERT'S BOOKS TODAY FOR FREE Send Kris and Rob a text or message H2H WEBSITE H2H on TWITTER H2H on INSTA     Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
